Golden Floorball Award – World’s Best Floorball Player – has been presented annually by Innebandymagazinet since 2007 for the women’s category. National team head coaches from World Championship nations, along with journalists from the major floorball nations, participate in the voting process.

10) Hanna Nordstrand, Täby FC, Sweden 🇸🇪

Hanna Nordstrand has become one of the new major stars of Swedish floorball following a fantastic period of development during 2025, where she significantly stepped up her game during the second half of the year. Throughout the autumn, she has been a prolific point machine in the Swedish Super League, surpassed only by Veera Kauppi. In the Swedish national team, she has been prominent in big games, showing an ability to be at her best when it matters most. She scored both of Sweden’s goals in The World Games final. In the World Championships, she shone in the bronze medal match with a hat-trick and was also a goalscorer in the semifinal.

9) Anna Brucháčková, Bulldogs Brno, Czechia 🇨🇿

Anna Brucháčková has strengthened her status as one of the new, great stars of Czech floorball. With her speed, excellent technique, and ability to produce a high volume of points, she was a leading player for both her club, Bulldogs Brno, and the Czech national team. For the 2024/2025 season, she was honored with the coveted award for Player of the Season in Czechia. In the World Championships on home soil, she played a vital role in helping the Czech national team reach the final for the first time.

8) Oona Kauppi, Thorengruppen IBK, Finland 🇫🇮

The clinical forward, who rarely makes a mistake when a scoring chance arises, enjoyed several major highlights during 2025. The first came when she won the Swedish Cup gold with Thorengruppen, scoring a hat-trick in the final as early as the first period. When the team later secured the Swedish Championship gold, she played a decisive role there as well, scoring the crucial opening goal in the final. With the Finnish national team, she finally got to celebrate a major international title at The World Games, where she provided the assist for the match-winning 3-2 goal in the final.

7) Šárka Staňková, FBC Kalmarsund, Czechia 🇨🇿

This powerful Czech player reached her 2025 peak during the World Championships at home, where her strong performances contributed significantly to Czechia reaching the final and taking the silver medal. She was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP). With her club team Kalmarsund, she has solidified her status as a top player in the Swedish Super League, where she often takes command with great initiative both offensively and defensively.

6) Michaela Kubečková, FBC Kalmarsund, Czechia 🇨🇿

The leading center of the Czech national team shines with her vision and understanding of the game. Kubečková played a pivotal role in Czechia reaching the World Championship final for the first time to claim silver in front of a home crowd. She scored the decisive goal in the semifinal against Finland, though she unfortunately suffered an injury and missed the final. Nevertheless, she earned a spot on the tournament’s All-Star Team. At the club level, she has helped Kalmarsund reach new heights, including a run all the way to the Swedish Cup final in early 2025.

5) Isabelle Gerig, Zug United, Switzerland🇨🇭

2025 was an unbeatable year of powerful memories for this right-handed forward, with the absolute highlight being the World Championship gold in Czechia. Isabelle Gerig topped the total scoring league there alongside Veera Kauppi with 19 points. In the final, she scored the 2-0 goal that sealed the deal. She was also named to the tournament’s All-Star Team. At the beginning of the year, she also celebrated a Champions Cup gold with her club Pixbo, where she scored in the final. During the autumn, she has been one of the leading point-scorers in the Swiss league.

4) Karolína Klubalová, FBC Liberec, Czechia 🇨🇿

This young forward has taken the floorball world by storm. Back home in Czechia, she was named the MVP of the 2024/2025 season in the Extraliga, where she also won the scoring title with 27 goals and the points title with 51 points. In the subsequent World Championships on home soil, she was one of Czechia’s main figures and became a crowd favorite with her ability to break patterns and take initiative—qualities that had a major impact on the Czech team securing a historic silver medal.

3) Maja Viström, Thorengruppen IBK, Sweden 🇸🇪

Despite a less successful year for the Swedish national team, Maja Viström maintains a consistent level as an absolute top player in the world. Her highlights during 2025 came primarily with her club, Thorengruppen. For the third year in a row, Viström was named Center of the Year in the Swedish Super League. She also played a decisive role in securing the gold in the Swedish Championship playoffs. Prior to that, she won gold in the Swedish Cup, where she led the team’s internal scoring charts. She is physically complete, a giant in one-on-one duels, and controls large areas of the pitch.

2) Lara Heini, Pixbo IBK, Switzerland 🇨🇭

The Swiss goalkeeper had two major highlights during 2025. It began with gold in the Champions Cup, where she kept a clean sheet in the final as her Pixbo won 3-0 away against their great rivals Thorengruppen. As if that wasn’t enough, when the year concluded with the World Championships in Czechia, she became one of the great gold-medal heroes in Switzerland’s massive achievement. Once again, she did not concede a single goal in the final against Czechia, following a superb performance against Sweden in the semifinal. In the Swedish Super League, she was named Goalkeeper of the Year for the 2024/2025 season.

1) Veera Kauppi, Thorengruppen IBK, Finland 🇫🇮

Veera Kauppi can look back on a truly sensational 2025. At the beginning of the year, she secured the Swedish Cup title with Thorengruppen, contributing two assists in the final. Later that spring, she delivered a masterclass performance in the Swedish Championship final; with three goals and three assists, she played a decisive role in capturing the gold. Her domestic dominance was further recognized as she was named MVP of the playoffs and Forward of the Year in the SSL. She topped the points table in both the regular season and the playoffs in superior fashion, setting an all-time SSL record with an incredible 97 points in the regular season.

On the international stage, Kauppi was the driving force behind Finland’s historic breakthrough as they captured gold at The World Games. There, she finished as the tournament’s top goal scorer and earned a spot in the All-Star Team. She maintained this elite form through the World Championships at the end of the year, where she was once again crowned the overall leading goal scorer and selected for the All-Star Team.

Hon spelade också en avgörande roll i att det blev guld i SM-slutspelet. Innan dess blev det också guld i Svenska Cupen, där Viström toppade lagets interna poängliga. Hon är fysiskt fulländad, en gigant i duellspelet och kontrollerar stora ytor på planen.

2) Lara Heini, Pixbo IBK, Schweiz 🇨🇭
Den schweiziska målvakten hade två stora höjdpunkter under 2025. Det började med guldet i Champions Cup, där hon höll nollan i finalen när hennes Pixbo vann mot stora rivalen Thorengruppen med 3-0 på bortaplan. Och inte nog med det, när året avslutades med VM i Tjeckien så blev hon en av de stora guldhjältarna i Schweiz stora bedrift. Inte heller här släppte hon in ett enda mål i finalen mot Tjeckien, och gjorde innan dess även en superinsats mot Sverige i semifinalen. I Svenska Superligan utsågs hon till bästa målvakt säsongen 2024/2025.

Veera Kauppi kan blicka tillbaka på ett sensationellt 2025. I början av året vann hon Svenska Cupen-guld med sitt Thorengruppen, där hon noterades för två assist i finalen. Under våren gjorde hon sedan en makalös insats i SM-finalen; med tre mål och tre assist spelade hon en helt avgörande roll i guldstriden. Utöver SM-guldet utsågs hon till hela slutspelets MVP samt till årets forward i SSL. Poängligan vann hon i överlägsen stil i både grundserien och slutspelet – i grundserien satte hon dessutom ett historiskt poängrekord i SSL med 97 poäng.

Internationellt var Kauppi den drivande kraften bakom Finlands stora trendbrott när de säkrade guldet i The World Games. Där vann hon skytteligan och tog plats i All Star Team. Samma dominans visade hon under VM i slutet av året, där hon återigen kröntes till turneringens skyttedrottning och valdes ut till All Star Team.
