At just 21 years old, Storvreta’s Sakarias Ulriksson has become the youngest male winner in the history of the award by a clear margin. By securing her fifth Golden Floorball Award, she surpasses all previous legends to become the most decorated player in history. Her 2025 featured a dominant SSL performance and a historic gold medal with Finland at The World Games.
– It feels quite incredible, actually. 2025 was a very good year for me personally, but also for both my club and the national team… I am pleased to have been able to play at such a high level for this long, says Veera Kauppi.

Veera Kauppi can look back on a truly sensational 2025. At the beginning of the year, she secured the Swedish Cup title with Thorengruppen, contributing two assists in the final. Later that spring, she delivered a masterclass performance in the Swedish Championship final; with three goals and three assists, she played a decisive role in capturing the gold. Her domestic dominance was further recognized as she was named MVP of the playoffs and Forward of the Year in the SSL. She topped the points table in both the regular season and the playoffs in superior fashion, setting an all-time SSL record with an incredible 97 points in the regular season.
On the international stage, Kauppi was the driving force behind Finland’s historic breakthrough as they captured gold at The World Games. There, she finished as the tournament’s top goal scorer and earned a spot in the All-Star Team. She maintained this elite form through the World Championships at the end of the year, where she was once again crowned the overall leading goal scorer and selected for the All-Star Team.
