"She is very well profiled as a complex player"

Michal Dannhofer, editor at florbal.cz, about the nomination of Eliška Krupnová as world's best floorball player 2020.

First and foremost, I would like to honestly congratulate Eliška on this fantastic achievement. I mean, being in the exclusive company alongside Anna Wijk, Karolina Widar, Hermine Dahlerus means a lot to her, I am sure. Not to mention, that she is only third winner outside of Sweden! 

I remember in 2009, when she moved from Marianské Lázně to Tigers (formerly Herbadent, now basicaly Tigers Start98), she was considered as a talent, but during 12 years following women’s floorball, I have to say, that there were many others, who have much greater entréé, coming into the Extraliga. Which in fact makes her story even more fascinating. 

Even during the WFC U19 2010, I believe that she was not considered as our key player. 

In the next season, 2010/2011, she really put her name into consideration and it was obvious that one of our greatest coaches for women’s floorball – Karolína Šatalíková and Markéta Šteglová have found a pure diamond in Mariánské Lázně. 

What I like about Eliška the most is her ability to in fact adjust to every single game situation, she is very well profiled as a complex player, which makes her unique in comperation with players like Kauppi’s twins, Wijk, Berner. I believe that regarding her complexness, she can be compared to Emelie Wibron for example or Moa Tschöp, who’s game I am really a big fan. 

Obviously I cannot make a first-person judgement on her leadership skills, because I have not been part of any team with her, but Pixbo in fact has done it instead of me. 

Being foreginer and just considered as a captain of such a great team, like Pixbo is, is in fact a great thing and I believe that every single players in Pixbo’s locker room would signed that she is in fact a fantastic leader, as well as in the czech national team.

In summer, Kristina Landgren Carestam stated that Eliška is the "extreme profesional“. That also another statement of her quality but it defines Eliška in the diferent perspective. 

To sum up, all of these puzzle pieces only show that you do need to be considered as the greatest talent in the business, but what you really need is well mind set up in order to be able to work with what you got and pushed your limits. With good mental set up you can do everything that is possible with the abilities you have. 

This is I believe is something what defines Eliška Krupnová. And I am very much looking forward to see what happens next.
